The Kogi Government has accused the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) of desperation to record a coronavirus disease (COVID-19) case in the state; hence it violated its protocols for declaring a case.

Okotie condemns CAN’s social distancing guidelines for churches
The Senior Pastor of the Household of God Church International Ministries, Chris Okotie, on Sunday kicked against the Christian Association of Nigeria’s (CAN) proposed social distancing guidelines for churches.
Okotie, who was the presidential candidate of Fresh Democratic Party, frowned at CAN’s decision to allow what he described as the ‘Idol of Coronavirus’ determine the scope of congregational worship in churches in Nigeria.
‘Chinese medical team still in Nigeria’
The Chinese embassy and the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) say the Chinese medical team invited to support Nigerian efforts against COVID-19 is still around in the country.
They spoke in response to the suggestion by the Nigerian government through the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the team has returned home to China.
FG hands over COVID-19 fight to States
The Federal Government has pushed the battle to contain Coronavirus to states and communities, Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on the pandemic, Boss Mustapha, said on Sunday.
According to him, the Federal Government will henceforth only provide supervision and coordination.
