North Central

  1. Benue State Executive Council, resolved that each member should donate N100,000 every month, contributing N2.8 million monthly till the battle against the spread of COVID-19 in Benue State is over.
  1. 500 million naira was donated by the United Bank for Africa (UBA) to Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
  2. 500 million naira was pledged by Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Private Sector Coalition against the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), aimed at targeting interventions for emergency hospitals in Lagos and Abuja.

  4. Federal Capital Territory administration received medical materials from the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).
  5. Medical equipment worth millions of Naira was donated to the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA by Dunamis International Gospel Centre.
  6. Relief materials were distributed in Kobe village from door to door by the COZA Care Foundation.
  7. The Federal Government has started disbursing its nationwide N20,000 Conditional Cash Transfer to poor households starting from Kwali Area Council in Abuja.
  8. The NNPC GMD led other representatives of oil companies to donate coronavirus testing kits, a brand-new ambulance, hospital beds and other in-patient support systems to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital.
  9. Three ventilators were donated by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to two general hospitals to support the Federal Government’s fight against coronavirus in the country.

North East

  1. 2.5 million naira was donated by eight members of the State House of Representatives through their representatives and members representing Numan/Lamurde/Demsa Federal Constituency, Kwamoti Laore to the Adamawa State Technical Committee for the containment of COVID-19.
  2. Hon. Yusuf Buba (APC-Adamawa) set up a trust fund and donated all his monthly salaries to his constituents which will be used in providing protective materials to his constituents.
  3. Adamawa State will 100,000 protective masks, 1000 high grade medical protection and isolation gear, 2000 protective goggles, 1000 gloves and 1000 testing kits amongst other things from BUA group
  4. Adamawa State received 1500 protective masks, 110 high grade face shields and 20 overall gowns from the Jack Ma Foundation.
  5. BUA donated 100,000 protective masks, 1000 high grade medical protection and isolation gear, 2000 protective goggles, 1000 gloves and 1000 testing kits amongst other things.
  6. Adamawa State received 1500 protective masks, 110 high grade face shields and 20 overall gowns from the Jack Ma Foundation.
  1. 32.4 million and 3,600 bags of 25kg rice was donated by the management of Tiamin Rice to the Bauchi State government.
  2. 28.5 million naira was received by Bauchi State received from United Bank for Africa.
  3. 2.5 million naira and food items worth over 1.5 million naira was donated by the Bauchi based NGO, Forward in Action for Education, Poverty and Malnutrition (FaCePam) for the COVID-19 fund purse of Bauchi state government.
  4. 500 thousand naira joint donation was made The Body of Bauchi Lawyers of Conscience (BOBALAC) and Bauchi Assembly of Youths Actors (BAYOPA) to the Bauchi State government.
  5. 470 thousand naira was donated by Musa Nakwada, a member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly as his contribution towards managing the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
  6. Chinese group, Mutual Commitment Group (MCG) donated 150,000 protective medical materials to Bauchi state government.
  7. The All Progressives Congress Chapter of Bauchi State has procured millions of Naira worth protective materials to be distributed.
  8. Alhaji Yakubu Shafa, an oil and gas businessman, pledged to donate N20 million worth of beds, BPEs, thermometers and sanitizers.
  9. First City Monument Bank made a donation of N10 million to Bauchi State.
  10. Northeast Development Commission and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control also assisted the state with consumables comprising 1,800 personal protection commodities, 2 ventilators, surgical gloves, face masks, and hand sanitizers.
  11. The deputy governor, Bala Tela, the SSG and the chief of staff contributed their 3-month salaries (March – May) towards efforts intended to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Bauchi State.

  2. Gombe State suspended payment of the N30,000 minimum wage due to the effect of coronavirus pandemic on the economy.

  1. Taraba state government through its Technical Committee on COVID-19 presented hand sanitizers to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Muslim Councils to distribute to distribute to their members in the state.
  1. Yobe governor, deputy, lawmakers, judges donated 50% of their salaries to combat coronavirus.
  2. Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni, donate 250 face masks to Almajiris in the state.

North West

  1. N28.5 million was donated by the United Bank for Africa to the government of Jigawa.
  1. Crock City Homecoming Group has distributed 100 hand sanitisers and face masks to the Kufana community in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state.
  2. Kaduna state commenced the distribution of foodstuffs worth N500 million to vulnerable people in the state.
  3. Members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly have agreed to donate their April salaries to complement the state government of efforts in sharing food items to the vulnerable.

  4. Alhaji Abubakar Atiku-Danbila, Kebbi State Youth Leader in-charge of Gwandu Emirate, donated surgical face masks and other medical items to market associations in the state
  1. Sokoto received the donation of 128.5 million naira from BUA group of companies as well as the United Bank for Africa (UBA).
  2. Senator Wamakko has commenced the distribution of twelve thousand pieces of hand sanitisers, detergents, face masks, hand gloves, water bucket dispensers and 250 bags of 50 kg rice to 23 LGAs in Sokoto.
  3. The Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Sokoto State chapter has distributed food items to Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF) patients at Maryam Abacha Women and Children Hospital in the state.

South East

  1. 1.045 billion naira was donated by NDDC to the nine states of the Niger Delta including Abia state.
  2. 28.5 million naira was donated by the United Bank for Africa Foundation to help with medical supplies, treatment and other essentials needed to combat the deadly virus.
  3. 5 million naira, testing kits, hand sanitizers, medical face masks, and 2, 000 cartons of Indomie Noodles was donated by Abia-born philanthropist, Chief Chris Igwe.
  4. Unubiko Foundation, an NGO, provided about 12,000 bottles of hand sanitizers for communities in Abam, Arochukwu LGA.
  5. Unubiko Foundation sponsored radio jingles in Igbo and English Languages to pass the message about COVID-19 to the people.
  6. From BUA Group, Abia State received protective masks, high grade medical protection and isolation gear, protective goggles, gloves and testing kits.
  7. Each One Aid One Foundation donated medical supplies, including hand sanitizers, hand gloves, face masks, non-touch thermometers, an ambulance, and a fully-equipped Mobile Clinic.
  8. The Alex Otti Foundation presented Medical Equipment (PPEs) to the Federal Medical Centre and Madonna Catholic Hospital, Umuahia.
  9. Chima Anyaso, founder of The Chima Anyaso Foundation, announced the donation of relief materials and food as well as emergency services vehicles for Bende Constituency.
  10. 500 thousand naira was donated by Abia Comets F.C. management for the Abia State Inter-Ministerial Committee on coronavirus.
  11. Jacintha Kakaide, a tailor in Aba, Abia state, has been producing masks with local materials for street kids.
  12. Nigerians Fighting Coronavirus is appealing to benevolent Nigerians to help reach out to 100 families in Abia whose business has been severely affected by the lockdown order in the State. They hope to raise 250,000 thousand naira for these families.

  10. 500 thousand naira and medical relief were distributed to Anambra indigenes by the Johnbosco Onunkwo Foundation.

  12. Dr. Ernest Obiejesi, Group Chairman of Nestoil and Obijackson Group of Companies, has donated 4,000 face masks and 200 units of protective clothing for care providers.
  13. Dr. Ernest Audialor Obiejesi (4,000 Facial Masks and 900 Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  14. Anglican Communion, Diocese on the Niger, in Onitsha, Anambra State, has commissioned a food bank for her members. It includes 200 bags of rice and 100 bags of beans, some tubers of yam and other food stuffs.

  2. Ebonyi state house of assembly forfeited their April salaries to the state committee on the fight against Coronavirus.
  1. 330 million naira has been approved by the Enugu State Government executive council for proactive, preventive and management measures.
  2. Enugu state government has converted its 200-bed capacity diagnostic centre into an isolation centre for treatment of confirmed cases.
  3. The Ihiagwa Community in Owerri West Council Area of Imo State has floated a food bank for indigent persons during the lockdown.
  4. Governor Hope Uzodinma has constituted a seven-man taskforce to clean up the state capital.
  5. Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has approved the immediate provision of Group Life/Group Personal Accident Assurance Policy for all medical doctors in the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Teaching Hospital, Parklane, Enugu.
  6. The 17 local government chairmen, 260 councillors, supervisory councillors, local government health personnel, community leaders have been distributing buckets, soaps, hand gloves, facial masks and some food items to the people.

The administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Tertiary Education Trust (TET) Fund, has donated some food items to four major church groups in Enugu State, for onward distribution to their vulnerable and poor members.

South South

  1. 28 million naira was donated by UBA
  2. 1.045 billion naira was pledged by the NDDC for the nine states of the Niger Delta including Akwa Ibom.
  3. The Village Square, a WhatsApp platform, has donated 60-litre capacity manual water dispensers to some communities in Akwa Ibom State to encourage handwashing.
  4. From BUA Group, Akwa Ibom State will also receive protective masks, high grade medical protection and isolation gear, protective goggles, gloves and testing kits.
  5. The state will also receive 1500 protective masks, 110 high grade face shields and 20 overall gowns from the Jack Ma Foundation.
  6. Inoyo Toro Foundation, an NGO, in partnership with StanbicIBTC Bank, has committed to support In-laboratory equipment to Akwa Ibom state in its quest to build a testing centre.

  • The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has pledged its water buses, patrol boats and other water craft for use by relevant agencies.
