Amid price hike, Lagos faced sanitizer and mask shortage

Following the news of the first case of COVID-19 in Lagos, and health precautions to avoid infections especially with the use of a face mask and hand sanitizer. Prices of both commodities skyrocketed unfairly by almost 300% increase.
Pharmaceutical stores and supermarkets exploited the high demand from consumers. A box of 50 masks rose from N700 to N3,500, and sanitizer from N500 to N4000.
